I can get the Dash of Moolah two up and Hawkwinds cam up but for some reason
cannot get Shadow Paints cam up, wondering if anyone else has the same issue

Shadow paints is working properly. Please see the link below for a screenshot showing their cam.

Good morning!

We have been hard at work attempting to make it easier for users who need help with Mare Stare Cam setup to get in touch with support to ask questions or get support. There are two new ways to do this.

#1. Technical Support Chat page - http://www.marestare.com/assistance.php
        You can get to this page by going up to the navigation bar -> Resources -> Support Chat. On this page you will have the option of filling out a form and chatting with a technical support representative who can initiate a remote support session from the chat if needed. Please keep in mind that Internet Explorer by default has security settings set so you cannot use this chat. If you navigate to this page while using Internet Explorer there will be options at the bottom of the page telling you how to bypass the security settings and chat with a support representative.

#2. The Mare Stare Technical Support Calling Card - http://marestare.com/downloads/MS%20Calling%20Card.msi
       This is basically a program that you can install on your computer and initiate a technical support session on the fly that way. It currently is NOT available for Mac users. The download can be found on the downloads page and the Support Chat page.

Currently the hours of operation for the technical support chat have been listed on the Support Chat page.

Good morning,

Just to clarify, this update only affects users who are streaming their cameras to our servers using Unreal Live Server. If you use the Flash Media Encoder this does not affect you. One way to tell which you are using is to go to your cam page and look at the URL. If it states marestare.com/cam.php then this does affect you. If your cam users marestare.com/fcam.php then this does NOT affect you.

If you are using the Unreal Live Server and would like to schedule a support session for us to remote in and make the necessary update for you please send an email to frank@marestare.com stating what times are good for you.

Please note that some answers to things that sometimes happen with the text alert system have been answered on the main post of this topic.

Q: Why didn't I receive an alert or why did it arrive hours after the original alert was sent?

A: This can be caused by lack of service in your area and your phone not receiving the message until proper service has been obtained.


Q: Why do I receive duplicate messages of an alert?

A: This can occur if you are in a low signal area and your phone checks for messages and sees the same message as not having been received on your phone before it can update the status in their database. We do not send alerts more than once.

Good morning!

Today we have updated the cam.php page that displays video streams from the Unreal Live Server to version 6. You may be asked to install the updated cross-browser plugin from the Unreal website, which can be found here, http://www.umediaserver.net/bin/UMediaPlayerPlugin6.exe. Please let us know if you experience any issues caused by this update. This will only affect camera's that stream using the Unreal Live Server.

If you are currently streaming using the Unreal Live Server and are using a version older than version 9 we suggest upgrading to this newer version here, http://www.umediaserver.net/bin/ULiveServer.zip. You do not need to upgrade to this newer version to use the new cam page as it is compatible with the older Unreal Live Server. However by upgrading to the newer Live Server it will ensure that you are ready for new features that will be coming to Mare Stare soon for cameras streamed with Unreal Live Server. 

If you would like to upgrade to the Unreal Live Server but are uncomfortable doing so we will be available to help with this process by remoting into your computer where the Unreal Live Server is running and upgrading it for you. If you would prefer to have us do this you can navigate to the Technical Support page at http://www.marestare.com/assistance.php and initiate a technical support session with us. We are normally available M-F 7:30am-5pm EST.
