Pictures of real California "snow" from the front yard of a friend's house.   roflmbo

Ha, ha, ha, ha.. gotcha...  that's NOT snow, it's the petals off the blooms on the tree in his yard.  That's what WE call "snow" here..  we get it every spring about this time.   roflmbo

Cheri.. I loved the pix of the critters.. thank you so much for sharing them.

Beckie... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pix of the kids.  Thank you so much!  It's also, I think, the first total picture of your barn that I've seen.  Puts it more into perspective when you talk about it and when we see parts of the inside of it.  It's HUGE!  And, I can also see where you stuff in all those bales of hay when you load it.  Sue's stallion is also gorgeous.  What is his breeding?

Carol.. tch, tch for thinking about shooting a crow..  poor bird...  You KNOW how I love the birds.

Morgan... congratulations on getting your permit... such an exciting time in your life.  Savor it..

Bobby.. thanks for the heads up about Ned.  We all have such high hopes that he will gain weight.

I heard from Amelia & Tuffie's new Mom this afternoon.. she's concerned that they aren't eating.  If they don't polish off some food by tomorrow I'm going to take my big dog crate, that they are so accustomed to, over to her house to let her borrow it to see if familiar "surroundings" will help them adjust and start munching again.  They seem to be drinking.. I just think they are very stressed at this point.. and no wonder..

Well.. early call again tomorrow..   Nite all. Hi!

Good Morning All..real windy here but no at the moment and we're hoping the predicted thunderstorms  vere elsewhere also.  Nice easy day here...house projects...a little shopping...a little cooking.  We're going to make beef enchiladas for dinner...good comfort food.

Oh Betty...I didn't think you'd do that to me...

Laurie...Hope it's a better day for the kitties.  I think the crate's a good idea.  When we moved up here we brought Brandy's  bed up  ( a daybed) on an earlier trip so she'd have something of her own here.  She settled in very easily.  A & T are in such a huge place that they don't know where their belongings are.  I vote "yes"  on bringing it.

Marty...Sending you morning  Hugs

Everyone have a fabulous day!  smile1

Oh Betty...Now I feel bad.    I always know you're just kidding and I always know it's Laurie's influence that makes all of us say these things.    As far as the geezer comment goes...look out...she's going to see it.  scared

Hi! everyone sorry I didn't post yesterday not a whole lot going on here.  I trimmed some feet yesterday and shaved the pregnant mares bellies all except Zoe and CC as Zoe isn't as hairy as the rest of them and CC I think took the second breeding her udder is not really doing anything yet and I would think that we would have more than what we do so she is due in early May.  They were scratching quite a bit last night as I dusted them, I found a few little lice on Splash, they shouldn't be itching quite as much tonight as the bugs should be dead.  Anyhow that is what is going on here.  I was kind of hoping for a foal before mom and dad get home, but I do not think they are going to cooperate  Boo Hoo
Thanks for keeping an eye on them, I  Sleep well last night.

She's gonna  Sleep well later Running for joy...Time for bed soon. Everyone have a great evening. seeya......

P.S.  Hi! April. You're so busy, like Beckie, it's a wonder you find the time to post at all. The girls are still holding tight, eh hmmmm...

Well, the nice spring weather thief is still MIA - woke up this morning to the lovely sound of hail coming in sideways and hitting the window foottap Just got a freeze alert for tonight into tomorrow morning.

Laurie - Not nice to fool the aunties with tricky snow pictures nooo  I think taking the crate over for A&T is an excellent idea - that's been their "safe zone" for so long it will just take time for them to adjust.  As to shooting crows - I would never do it - they will usually fly away when they hear the "pop" from the BB gun so you just shoot up in the air - now the woodpecker from a couple of years ago who came for breakfast everyday by pecking on the siding outside my bedroom needed a little more friendly persuasion.  Took me 2 weeks to convince him to find another restaurant.

Cherie - cool pictures of all the feathered critters - thanks for posting them  Cheesy

Beckie - love the shot of the thundering herd headed for the new hay bale - good thing they weren't elelphants or you would have a mini earthquake going on - Nick certainly made his feelings about Pizazz known - you could almost see the spit coming off his tongue  grin5 Love the pix of Komotion where you caught his reflection in the water - just fabulous.

Betty - the production of Cinderella was pretty good for such a small town production - they put a few zingers to reflect current times - comments about "Homeland Security, Stimulus and Banks with no money" - doubt I'll find a

and if I did it probably wouldn't fit  Rolling on floor laughing  Guess I'll just stay with my muck boots.

Speaking of Model Ts, driver's licenses and old geezers - when my GS was about 5 years old (he's 20 now) he very seriously asked me if they had cars when I was his age - talk about a put down - this is the same child who one spring day when we had a heat wave and I put on a pair of shorts, said my thighs looked like white whale blubber - out of the mouths of babes  roflmbo roflmbo

Off to stoke up the fire and clean the fish tank  cheer
