It's Fall! Good Morning from gorgeous Sonoma County.  I don't know about anyone else but I'd like to get rid of this time change.  Getting up at  5 stinks!  It was a grueling day at the court yesterday with lots of people selections, interviews and dismissals.  My stomach was in my throat when they called up and additional group of people before dismissing us for the day.  I'm still on the safe side of the jury box...meaning not in it. I came home absolutely drained.  I'm heading there again this morning and the judge hopes to have jury selection completed today.  I'm so, so hoping to not serve on this case.  I heard from Laurie last night as they were back in the good old US of A in DC.  Add Laurie to the list needing  Jingles as she's had a cold for a week that sounds like it's something else.  It doesn't matter what part of the world you're in, no one's immune to this.  We'll hope she doesn't have it.

Jean...Very cool pictures of your driveway project and it turned out fabulous.  I agree that the way you're slinging that sledge would surely qualify you at the fairs for ringing that chime.  cunning

Mak...It sounds like your 4H banquet was a win-win for you and I'm thrilled that someone has inquired about Chip.  We'll all keep our paws crossed for you and for him.

Carol and Judy...I'm with you...trying to avoid those "C" emoticons even if they are cute.  Too soon, too soon!

Carol...Too funny...that vaccine will never take the  Heart Piggy out of men.  roflmbo

Judy, Judy, Judy...We've got to get you back in the swing of things with your back.  Thank goodness it's not paddling season so we've got time to fix you up.  smile1

Chels...Thanks for another great selection of pictures of the kids and moms.  My favorite is the one you titled "Guarding"...just adorable.

Bev...Sorry your GD has a cold and I hope it stays at that level.

Beckie...Sending you so many  Jingles for Kayce and Morgan to get better and that Aiden's surgery will go well this morning.  I'm so sorry Sue lost her Coco and please extend  Hugs to her from all of us.  Oh dear!  You've got to start weeding out things at Grandma's after 35 years...holy  Cow . That's way too much of a project!!!  Roll Eyes  Let's pretend that that isn't so.

Well ladies...off to breakfast and then get ready to head to court.  Have a great one and I'll see you later.

Becky, after spending all night last night at the ER and finding out it IS flu, I come home and see this.  We are so praying for her and that precious little baby.  I believe God is going to take care of Kacye, the baby and Morgan.  Please tell them  that we love them we love them very much and are praying for them.  So we'll be in touch.  I've never felt this bad before them before I told the nurse to just take me out and and shoot me...she started laughing at me.  Guess you gotta laugh at something.  Everybody was so nice  Today is Mom's 76th birthday.  She's still going.  I told her.  She is still rollin so just keep on keepin on...So I'm going to go back to sleep for a bit...

Power went out last night right in the middle of the game  Pulling out my hair! Pulling out my hair! Didn't find out until this morning that the Series is going back to NY - news said someone hit a power pole  thud

Sarah - sorry to hear GD has a cold - it's always hard to see them not feeling up to par - Sophia is my great GD and is 19 months old - I figure by next year I can teach her to scoop  manure  roflmbo

Beackie - OMG you've been hit by a triple whammy - good vibes, prayers, thoughts and lots of  Jingles coming your way for both Kayce and Morgan to get over the bug quickly and easily and for Aiden to come thru his surgery with flying colors - you need to take care of yourself and not get run down (yeah, I know you're rolling your eyes) - you're everyone's rock but rock's sometimes get cracks in them - gentle  Hugs for Sue on her loss of Coco - even though we know they will  Angel/Bridge and leave us there is always a hole left in our hearts.

Pam - glad you escaped one more day of being picked for jury duty - not so good news that Laurie is coming home as a sickie  Sad

Joy - so sorry to hear you still are feeling so bad - at least you provided some humor in the ER -  Jingles that you are back to not wanting to be shot real soon -  Happy Birthday! to your Mom -

Still working on payrolls - hope everyone who is under weather improves by the end of the day and those that have escaped the BUG continue to stay out of his way  High Five!

Beckie, sooo sorry to hear about little Aiden. Prayers And now Morgan has the crud back and Kayce. Boo Hoo We received an alert from the Health Dept telling us to tell our patients that are showing flu symtoms to stay home and Dr told us that if we are feeling like we have the flu, he wants us to stay home, too. Heard on the news yesterday that most people that are having flu symtoms have H1N1. How they know that I have no idea.

I have another test at the hospital on Monday, I do not want to go into that germ infested place. NO. NO. NO.  scared I may call and cancel.

Duane still hasn't given Mopsy a registered name. (Shh.... I thinks he has been hanging out with Beckie too much). That baby needs a name. She is very quite and shy and doesn't give us any trouble when we want her to do something. (weel except when she has to go thru the mud). She also likes to have scratches and butt rubs. Flopsy is very vocal and brays when she sees me come down to do chores. She is also a naughty baby, she is very stubborn  donkey and doesn't like to be told to do anything she doesn't want to do. She hasn't decided if she likes to be touched and loved on yet. I may have to trade Duane for Mopsy.

Last night when we went to bring the other jennets in for the night, they wouldn't come and April went out to get them. When she did they would not pass by some weeds that were russling, Pulling out my hair! so April went back out after she finally got them past the strange noise and there were a bunch of birds in the weeds. Donkeys do not like to go anywhere that they think something might get them.  stop scared

Have all the blankets done. Now I hope they sell............................................................ I will be starting on my Christmas  snowmansign presents now. I think everyone in my family and the people I work with will be getting fleece slipper socks. So I better get on the ball. They are great to wear in barn boots or just around the house and keep the toes nice and warm.

Hi Melanie, sounds  like you have been keeping very busy,  your birthday sweets sounded yummy,  dont forget when the sun comes out I would love to see some new pictures of the fubbabies,  say HI to April for me.

alot of H1N1 flu here too,  apparently they dont want anyone going to the ER,  theyhave opened up clinics and only if a person gets worse do they want them to go to the ER.

Alot of clinics have been cancelled to give the shot  because they dont have any of the vaccine ready.  People are getting upset.

Phantom has been laying flat out on his side and has rolled to his back a couple times while I was out doing chores. I have given him some banamine paste and took his temp which is 98.0. He is eating some grain, but doesn't seem too interested in hay. I have him up, and will be watching him. Please post if you see him go potty or roll onto his back and stay there or see him rolling over. He has had loose stool for a few days. He is our palomino pinto and is a very sweet little boy.
Thanx Melanie

Hi And Good Evening!  Hi!

Jean – Your driveway looks great and I know you're glad it is finished! Once the county decides (started months ago) to blacktop the main road then we plan to have the drive paved leading to the house. This will keep the vehicles clean too  yippee

Pam – Jury duty thud I know the right to a trial by jury is the privilege of every person – But – geeze, not this time of year when everyone is thinking about the holidays  smile1

Beckie – Sending  Jingles and  pray your way for Kayce and Morgan. Hope both are well real soon!

What a bummer for Laurie to come home sick  thud thud thud I wish her lots of   Jingles and  pray too.

Joy – Sorry you are sick too. I know having the flu crud isn't any fun!  Hugs

Betty – Yeah, I really need to get my priorities straight I know - my girls made me aware of that real soon  roflmbo

Carol – Aww, now I remember that Sophie is your great granddaughter. She is really a doll that's for sure!

Melanie - Sorry to hear about Phantom. I'll help keep an eye on him this evening and hope it is nothing to be concerned about.

Today was absolutely gorgeous with the temp at 75F and NO wind. Won't see many days like today cunning But, I didn't get the chance to ride  Roll Eyes as had the ferrier back today.  Splash is lame in his left foot and the vet started him on antibiotics but wanted shoes on his front feet.  Now as I look back when we bought him he had shoes and wondered why since he wasn't ridden often in the months before we got him. I have a feeling his previous owners didn't tell us he has to have shoes  Banging my head on the wall  This is the second time he has gone lame on us  hmmm

Hi! To those I missed this time around  Smiley
